I was fortunate enough to have Claire as my Doula at my planned homebirth...I found her to be such a beautiful, positive and heartfelt person. Claire is sensitive and intuitive and also very strong and supportive. She was just what I wanted and needed. As it turned out my husband was unable to get home in time. Throughout my labor Claire was calm and peaceful and just there for me every minute. She knew what I needed at every stage. .
Throughout my pushing stage Claire was just amazing. She reminded me to breath and supported me physically so I could continue to push lying on my side. When I was concerned about what seemed to me a strange position to birth Claire reassured me that it was perfectly ok. This really helped me to relax. Claire used pressure on my lower back and sacrum during my pushing stage. I didn’t know how much I needed that till I had it! I felt so comfortable with Claire not only because of her training and experience but also knowing that she was as passionate about my birth experience as I was. My Homebirth was every thing I had hoped it would be and having Claire as my Doula certainly helped make it that way.
I will definitely be asking Claire to be my Doula at my next birth if we are blessed with another.

Claire is an absolute angel, what more can we say! Claire was our Doula for our first child, Celia. I had a natural water-birth, but a marathon 38 hour labour and I am sure I could not have made it through without the care and loving support of Claire.
My husband said that having Claire was the best decision we made regarding the birth of our precious little girl, as it took so much pressure off him and he knew he could not have provided the type of support that Claire was able to offer. Claire's nature is so warm, compassionate and calm - a perfect combination for supporting the most important event of your life. It was wonderful to have Claire assist with the birth of our son. Not only did she provide fantastic guidance and information in the lead up to the birth, but she helped us through what ended up being a long and difficult labour resulting in an eventual emergency caesarean section.
Claire made some fantastic suggestions with lighting and birth positions that we wouldn't have thought of, and assisted in making sure that the hospital midwives followed my birth plan where possible. As I reached exhaustion, she offered encouragement and support, and was there to help make me as comfortable as possible when we returned from theatre. Claire also helped my husband to feel more empowered during moments where he wasn't sure of how to support me.
